HiiT Training

June 6th, 2013 | Posted by Simon in Fitness | Weight Loss

High intensity interval training.

HiiT Training is an interval workout that has been around for decades. The HiiT routine includes intervals of high intensity exercises, followed by recovery intervals of light to moderate intensity exercises. Due to the fact that this training involves pushing yourself to do intense exercise intervals, the HIIT workout can provide many advantages that the usual exercise routines cannot offer including, aerobic, anaerobic, muscular endurance, and fat burning like never before.

Whether you’re on a treadmill, bicycle, cross trainer or just outdoors running, you can always fit in some HiiT.

It’s not rocket science, but it is effective. Check out the example for sprinting below, this can be adapted for any other exercise.

5 minute warm up.

15 seconds: High-Intensity Exercise
60 seconds: Rest or Low-Intensity Exercise
Repeat 10 times – That’s 17 and a half minutes.

Fantastic way to lose calories and shed that belly fat.
